Gloomy and dark homes arn’t bad feng shui necessarily!
The best colour in my opinion to lighten a dark home inside, is pale yellow and white, this way you bring the sun in and really challenge the darkness. Yellow is the true colour of the sun and of the day and is also the true colour of the ‘fire element’.
Red in my opinion is a dark colour and you want to stay away from solid reds.
Red is more a metal colour, when you think about it, metal turns red when it’s heated or under stress. This is another reason why our blood is red due to the iron being present.
As for Gold, Yellow and White furnishings in a dark home will do a lot to lift a gloomy home and pictures which symbolise the sun, are also effective. A spooky home will also benefit with greens and blues, plants and extra lights and windows.
But are gloomy homes all that bad? Do they have any kind of benefit in feng shui?
In my opinion dark homes help to cultivate your intuition and they are also good sometimes for accumulating assets or money. You might not become famous however you can enhance it to create tangible wealth.
Those who work in the CIA, are fortune tellers, work at a church, undergo investigative work, or research in an unusual area are often suited to living in dark homes.
However, take care of you health in a dark home. If there is a sunny spot in the house, for instance a sun room, try to make the most of it while you can.
They can be, although not always necessarily, good houses to nurture female occupants more.
And yes ghosts (if you believe in it) are associated with dark homes, the darkness is something they are attracted to as they are not associated with the living world (in contrast to the sun and light).
Gossip and rumors of a ghost present at a certain property, might be a good sign the property itself, possessing a good force of ‘accumulation’.
It is not necessary right to get rid of a ghost, this might be bad luck for a property depending on what forces are there.
You don’t want to destroy the ‘accumulative’ affects as these energies help attract wealth. There are other ways around of dealing with haunted properties. Trying to get ‘rid of’ or push something out isn’t always the best way.
