Finding Nature ~ homes and remedies

1. ‘Extrovert Environments in Nature’: These are Yang Environments

These are homes situated in sky scrapers or very tall buildings, or having one’s home surrounded only by large open fields, or living too close to a violent ocean or living in the middle of the desert without backing from any kind of mountain or rocky terrain.

Such Yang Homes are very hard to feel at peace with as there is far too much tumultuous energy about. This is because the space and land formation has no dynamics in it, allowing the chi energy to speed up too quickly and enter the home. Therefore the energy shifts too quickly throughout the home and chi energy circulating, becoming difficult to store or accumulate, dispersing very quickly.

For one to feel at peace at home, chi energy needs to be able to steadily enter the property and accumulate, then slowly disperse. With Yang Homes, it is sometimes impossible to achieve without some kind of remedy as the travel environment, allows for the climatic forces to hit one's home with too much impact. Occupants often experience dramatic life disturbances, whether good or bad, can attract extreme energy and major drama.

Some of the remedies include:

If living up high in a sky scraper, or right next to a turbulent ocean, one should add many large plants to your balcony or patio, to assist slowing down the speedy and sharp chi energy entering your home, from outside, where the elements are.

Have a look below at homes which have in my opinion successfully remedied their penthouse tastefully:

You could also add some large heavy granite stone or marble sculptures and furnishings on the balcony/patio and within the home, to help slow down the energy entering the home. Objects which are heavy also help to anchor the restless chi entering the home in places like this.

A very large water feature on such a balcony, with very slow moving water, will help slow down the fast moving energy entering the home.

No shiny flooring as this allows the chi energy to slip past, to fade quickly and disperse. You need carpets or rugs to adorn the flooring, to slow down energy before it disappears.

If you live in the middle of an isolated area, where all around you are endless flat fields, perhaps think about designing a semi-elaborate garden around your home, with walk ways, man-made hills, fountains and ponds, which would act as buffer, in slowing down the fast moving energy, approaching the home.

Have a look at the below pictures of penthouses, where I felt the furnishings were too bare and the structure lacked strength, allowing the chi energy to slip past.

On the Contrary, lets look at Donald Trump's home:

As for Donald Trump, he got it right! No feng shui remedy needed in his home.

Because of the extravegence he has implemented in his home with solid structure and solid pieces, this itself dramatically slows down the fast flowing chi energy entering his home, that you would expect living on top of a tower. In other words, the energy has transformed and is now calm and flourishing.

The large and strong marble pillars holding up the penthouse slow down the sharp chi energy, allowing energy to gently visit all areas of his home. Genuine marble takes millions of years to form, more than any other element in nature, so when chi energy hits it, the energy immediately slows down quite significantly and becomes calm. This same effect cannot be achieved with fake marble or imitations. This can also be said about 24 carat gold accents, imitation gold will not achieve the same affect.

There are carpets to help slow down the chi energy further, preventing chi from bouncing across shiny floors. And the elaborate antique furnishings, also help slow down chi energy dramatically as chi energy loves detail and will linger longer around those aspects, also the curving lounges, nurture the chi with a 'hugging' like affect.

2. Centrovert Environments in Nature: Homes incorporating BOTH a balance of Yin and Yang in nature (usually environments known for their beauty and balance)

These are homes situated near a lake and mountain, a forest with a river or lake, or a mountain glade with a gorge, or a field with flowers with a hill behind and a small stream perhaps etc, are often the more balanced and desirable land formations, because they are gentle, are strongly associated with life and the growing world. Always remember what enables life, is attraction. The energy protruding from these environments often aren’t as tumultuous either, hence retaining a certain level of charm and peace.

However such homes, if incorrectly situated can attract too much scandalous energy as the land form activates sometimes excessive reproductive energy – the energy to do with too much attraction. On the contrary, if your in an industry which involves social connections, or entertainment, then such a location may, instead be excellent for your business.

Sometimes land formations which are considered unlucky for a residential home, may be considered favorable for certain business locations.

Here are some tips for living in such areas:

Don’t have your home too close to a lake, especially if you are a couple, the male partner may attract female third parties, as a lake governs strongly the female reproductive system and sexuality of a female. Lakes also govern leisure and entertainment, but it is to do with the female energy.

The exception is when a single man may be looking for a partner

The other exception with a couple, is where the male partner is in business focusing on the female aspect.

If you are a single women living right next to a lake, you may find it difficult to attract male energy as the feminine lake is preventing it from happening. On the other hand, men you attract may have other women around them.

On the contrary, if your restaurant is situated right next to a lake, this location is very good for business. A restaurant is strongly associated with entertaining, leisure, and social activities. These locations attract people to the business as the lake location is a magnet to people searching for that particular energy.

Don’t have a river flowing right up on an angle, pointing to the door of your home. If a single women lives here, she may find too many men pursuing her. However, this might be a good thing if she were looking for a partner.

Rivers represent the male reproductive system, leisure, attraction and entertainment, BUT these aspects are instead to do with sexual male energy and male reproductive organs.

Due to this reason, don’t have your home right next to a river, as if a couple live here; the female has a high chance of attracting an unwanted male third party.

The exception is, if the river is slow moving and tranquil.

And a home might be ok right next to a lake, as long as the lake isn’t too big.

If you live in a heavily forested area, don’t have too many trees in front of the home. Don’t have trees right next to the walls of the house either. Too many trees around the home, should be cut down, especially if they are stopping the light from coming into the home.

The exception is ONLY if the building is a business instead, as this might help to attract more customers. In that case don’t cut any trees down. Essentially you’ll attract more male customers.

Trees behind the home, in the sitting direction symbolise male customers backing up the business – if you want to attract more female customers, try to build a pond in around the trees situated at the back of your business, to help cultivate the female aspect.

3. Introvert Environments in Nature: Yin Homes

Yin Homes are homes in nature which are closed off and often hard to find. Your home might be hiding in the side of a mountain, or your home is situated within cave or crevice of a hill. This also includes homes surrounded by many mountainous regions, or within the deepest part of the valley where there is not much light, or perhaps surrounded by far too many trees that it over shadows the home completely, no sun can get through. Such formations can be good or bad.

Such environments allow one to cultivate great peace and harmony within oneself, especially if you mediate; it is also desirable for a monk or a hermit. Those whom want to grow spiritually, excel academically will find it easier to harbor intellectual excellence in these environments.

The reason being is that Yin Homes essentially allow chi energy to accumulate and to store itself in excess for longer periods of time, where the chi energy isn’t released too quickly either. In other words the chi energy is nice and ‘fat’.

In order to think at a higher level and acquire knowledge and wisdom, you need to reside in a place where there is an abundance of chi. If chi leaves too quickly or can't accumulate, you'll have trouble thinking and focusing.

Those whom are unwell may find that they are able to heal rapidly; as such a slow gathering of energies allows one’s body to become more restored over time.

Such homes are also good places to hide if one needs to seek refuge. One may remain hidden longer, despite all odds.

These Yin Spots can be found in your home too, allowing you to concentrate or study, however care must be taken in choosing the right location.

Considering these influences which Yin Homes possess, the spiritual attainment, improved meditation, healing benefits, academic excellence, it is easy to see why many monasteries through out the world were built into cliffs and mountains, perhaps for this very purpose?

On the other hand, such environments where the yin energy becomes far too deep than it should be, can have the reverse affect, as the yin energy accumulating, has nowhere to go and remains permanently still. It becomes stagnate and dead.. sometimes attracting the dead and instances of hauntings or ghosts. You may be able to remedy this by placing perhaps a man-made fast flowing mini river or fast flowing waterfall near the entrance or back entrance of your home, this will help circulate and stimulate the stagnate chi of the home to release itself, when it has becomes too still.

Adding extra sky lights, with the idea that they will be regularly opened, will allow frozen chi energy to flow freely out of the home, and adding extra entry and exit ways, will also do the same.

How do you know if your Yin Home is becoming far too yin? Usually, most people will know it since sometimes the home begins to feel a bit too spooky at times. You will also perhaps experience ill effect with your own bodily health. You could also become depressed or disheartened while living in such homes, lacking motivation without knowing why, dwelling on negative issues for no apparent reason.

As mentioned earlier, about living in environments such as deserts, where the energy is too restless and hard to control. I leave you with a picture of Luke Skywalker's home, located in the desert. This home, being embedded within the ground, helps protect it from the elements as it is not exposed, therefore the chi energy does not hit so harshly, with a deep circular shape, helps to slow down energy, allowing chi to gather, a bit like a bowl holding soup:

Best Desert Home, unfortunately it was a movie!
